Extradition Rejection by the Court of Middelburg


It's difficult to understand why a Dutch Court defended a USA citizen from his fellow countrymen (Pino had not regained his Italian citizenship back then) and Italy instead handed out the (again) Italian Citizen Giuseppe Lo Porto to the county of Baldwin (Alabama) on a silver plate.

Then, if we spend few minutes actually reading the sentence of the Court of Middelburg, we remain litterally astonished:


The only comment that jumps to mind is that this time the thirty pieces of silver are five thousand dollars...
